Club Marine Launches Land-Based Insurance for Race Boats

Club Marine Launches Land-Based Insurance for Race Boats

Club Marine, Australia's leading boat insurance provider, has expanded its offerings to include land-based insurance coverage for race boats.
This initiative is designed to support participants in the Australian Offshore Superboat Championship (AOPC) by providing protection for their vessels while on land.

Historically, securing insurance for race boats during storage and transit has been challenging. Recognising this gap, Club Marine collaborated with the AOPC to develop a policy that addresses these specific needs. The new coverage safeguards race boats against accidental loss, damage, theft, or malicious damage when they are on land and on their trailers. Additionally, policyholders can claim up to $2,000 for non-refundable race and tournament entry fees if an insured incident prevents participation.

AOPC Commodore Antony De Fina expressed gratitude for Club Marine's commitment, stating that the partnership highlights the insurer's dedication to the boating community and strengthens their longstanding relationship. Club Marine CEO Tim Wiles echoed this sentiment, emphasising the company's enthusiasm for supporting the sport and connecting with boating enthusiasts across Australia.

This development is particularly timely as the 2025/26 Australian Offshore Superboat Championships are underway, with upcoming races scheduled in Wyndham Harbour, Victoria, and Geelong, Victoria. The introduction of this insurance coverage provides competitors with added peace of mind, allowing them to focus on their performance without concerns about potential land-based risks.

For race boat owners, this new policy offers a tailored solution to previously unmet insurance needs, reinforcing Club Marine's position as a responsive and innovative leader in the marine insurance sector.
